Lighting an awards shortlisted wedding venue, Manor House, Lindley
Congratulations to the Manor House, Lindley for being shortlisted in the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2019. Brilliant Lighting is proud to have designed the lighting in The Coach House used for weddings and events. The Coach House along with the Lantern Room has made it through to the finals in October. It’s not difficult to see why. They’re both stunning spaces lovingly designed by a team resolved to do the job properly.
Multi-functional lighting for the wedding venue
The Coach House is a multi-functional space. It’s a wedding venue that’s also used for business and conference events. The lighting design supports that range of uses. It’s glamorous and pretty with a strong architectural lighting base that serves it well for both wedding lighting and lighting for business events. The delicacy of the decorative fittings in the wedding venue belie their scale. The Coach House is a large space; the feature chandeliers pictured in the wedding shot are 2m in diameter. The architectural light fittings used are fittings of a scale that we might typically use in a church lighting scheme.
Dramatic and classic lighting in the bar area
The bar is an equally dramatic double height space. The bar itself is the focal point and layers of concealed linear lighting and striking feature pendants complement the rich finishes and decor. Both spaces feature Lutron lighting control for ease of use.
The finals of the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2019 are on October 3rd in London. Best of luck to Sara Presley and the rest of the team at Manor House. We’ll have lots more photos of this wonderful hotel on the website along with a full case study shortly.
