LED has been the primary residential lighting technology for over a decade
If you're working with new-builds or renovations you'll understand that LED isn't an alternative lighting technology; it's the only real choice. That said, we still regularly talk to people who haven't had to think about how the lighting landscape has changed. We'll retire this page once it has become truly obsolete but for now it's still doing a job.
If your only experience with LED lights has been low-quality replacement lamps, you might be very surprised at how good high-quality LED lighting is. The huge majority of project photos on this site are lit 100% with LED lighting. It's become the standard lighting technology.
