Project: Interior & exterior lighting design, South Yorkshire
A lighting design project for a luxurious new-build stone house in South Yorkshire

This lovely Victorian house has been restored and renovated to a very high standard. The original villa has been extended with a large kitchen, dining, living space and a beautiful pool and spa complex.
The large open plan kitchen is also home to a large dining area and a spacious casual TV area. Lighting zones the spaces and brings them together as needed
Joinery lighting is incredibly important in the project with fitted shelves in many of the rooms. We've used a variety of lighting techniques in differerent areas, depending on the look and feel of the space, the shelving construction and the planned contents of the shelves themselves.
The kitchen has a large expanse of windows looking out onto the garden. We've used Lutron Palladiom blinds througout the house. they're designed to work equally well in recessed coffers or in full view when that's not possible and they're ultra-quiet in operation.
The Games Room is a flexible fun space with comfy seating, a great TV and sound setup, a pool table and bar. It's the perfect place to chill. The suspended LED track lighting means the lighting is incredibly flexible to cope with any changes of layout and use.
The high output linear coffer lighting emphasises the double-height ceiling. Ground recessed lighting pick up the strong vertical lines. Miniature downlights light the artwork in the recesses.
The Victorian half of the house has been lovingly renovated, retaining original architectrual features.
Lighting helps unify the two distinct halves of the house and empahsises the sightlines through the entrance hall, kitchen and passage to the swimming pool. Uplighting puts the focus on the details in the arch.
The elegant staircase leads up to an arched landing with its beautiful laylight that brings natural daylight into the space. In the evening, surface mounted spotlights and small linear fittings atop the pillars illuminate the space. Bedrooms and bathrooms lead off the landing.
