Photographing The Silos

A camera focused on shooting the lighting for The Silos across a lake

We've just done a photoshoot at our latest finished project. It's a stunning luxury country house developed around a complex of agricultural silos. Brilliant Lighting designed the lighting scheme and worked closely with the interior designer who had a big role in developing the decorative fittings. It's a lovely build and we were lucky to get the chance to shoot the interior and exterior as the house was being prepared to go to market. It's been under wraps but we've been dying to write about it.

These are some of the working shots from the photoshoot. There were two photographers onsite so it needed a bit of co-operation and teamwork to make sure everyone got the shots they wanted without rogue tripods and camera bags sneaking into view. It was good fun though; the other photographer was Matthew Hillier, an architectural photographer I've known for some years (and someone I used to play cricket with). Matthew's focus is natural daylight photography (although he does dusk shots). It was interesting working alongside him and seeing his approach; we've got different things we're trying to capture in the role the artificial light is playing.
